Who we are
Founded in 2024, SA Chai Holdings ("SACH") supplies handpicked tea from the subtropical hills of Darjeeling, India — one of the world's most storied tea-growing regions. We manage sales and distribution from six cities: Kolkata, Riyadh, Dubai, London, Atlanta, and Irvine.
We believe tea is more than a category — it's a daily ritual worth doing well. Alongside our Darjeeling orthodox teas and northeast Indian CTC teas, we work to keep loose-leaf tea culture alive across generations and geographies.
Our founders
SA Chai Holdings is the work of Adam Omar Shanti and Bunty Agarwal, who met at London Business School and have built businesses together across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia for over a decade.
SA Chai Holdings is the beginning of their shared vision: a tea-based beverage and hospitality business recognized around the world.
Sourcing and quality
We've spent years building relationships with tea estates, growers, and factories across Darjeeling. Buying from us means buying tea sourced directly from local farmers — not conglomerates or resellers. Every leaf is handpicked and processed using techniques refined over more than a century.
Our quality team is involved at every stage: cultivation, harvesting, processing, drying, grading, and packaging. We hold no loyalty to any single estate — only to finding the best crop, harvest after harvest.
Both of our grandparents ran farm-to-table businesses — they knew exactly what they were feeding their families, and what happened when quality slipped.

Before tea, Adam and Bunty spent two decades in financial services — building intangible products and intellectual property. Eventually, they wanted to build something they could hold in their hands.
Adam's grandfather ran a dairy farm in the United States; Adam spent boyhood summers milking cows and scrubbing steel milk tanks. Bunty's grandfather owned a tea estate in Darjeeling, where Bunty helped pack processed leaves by candlelight.
That standard — real visibility into every step of the supply chain, from soil to cup — is what SA Chai Holdings is built on.
